Em Poor (they/them) is an artist, and educator, and zero-waste advocate based in Cleveland, Ohio. They create books, maps, and systems that support simple and connected ways of life.
As a Cuyahoga County Recycling Ambassador, they teach workshops and create zero waste events, educating people on how to recycle correctly and reduce waste in the first place. They are also currently serving as a Compost Ambassador with the City of Cleveland.
Em spent several years working as a Professional Home Organizer, helping clients organize their possessions, reduce clutter, and responsibly recycle and donate what no longer served them.
They currently make zines in their studio, teach workshops, and work at as a Project Coordinator at Cleveland Public Library.
